1. To recognize the names of different colors.

2. To recognize the colors of the rainbow and the order of the colors.

3. To talk about their favourite colours

 

重难点

 To grasp vocabulary about colours and talk about their favourtie colours and the reasons.

 

教学流程设计

Step 1 Leading in:

1.Show them some pictures about colors they have learned to review the expressions of different colors.

2.Free talk: After seeing some colors, talk about the colors they like best and explain the reasons.

3.Do you know what colors Eddie likes best?

Step 2 Comic strip

Listening to the dialogue between Eddie and Hobo. Then ask some simple questions.

Which color does Eddie like better? Why doesn’t Eddie like pink?

Let the students read the dialogues to talk about if the blue one matches Eddie well and perform Eddie and Hobo.

Step 3 Presentation

Ask students to list some colorful things that they can see during their daily lives. Show the picture about a rainbow and ask, “When can you see the rainbow? How many colors are there in a rainbow? Can you tell their order?”

With the question above, the teacher and the students talk about the colors of a rainbow together and get a conclusion.

          Colors in a rainbow (in correct order): red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet.

Step 4 Speak up

        Work in groups of two to talk about the colors in a rainbow, use Amy and her cousin’s dialogue as a model.

      Pay attention to the sentence: Do you know how many colours there are in a rainbow?

Step 5 Practice

1. 这件夹克穿在你弟弟身上很好看.

2. 我的电脑没有问题.

3. 你知道Simon最喜欢什么颜色吗?

4. 我不能确信他是否会来.

5. 我不喜欢穿粉色, 因为它是女孩的颜色.

Step 6 Homework.

1. Read the text book and learn the new words and phrases by heart.

2. Finish Unit 2 period1 on Assessment Book.

3. Recite the dialogue in part B on page 21.
